In a nod towards representation and inclusion, three black female performers from three generations some of the attractions confirmed to the opening ceremony from the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, that will take place in three days’ time with the famous Maracanã stadium.
The show, which includes creative direction from Brazilian directors Fernando Meirelles (City of God), Andrucha Washington and Daniela Thomas, begins at 8pm (local time) which is expected to remain visible by three billion people all over the world. See Katy Perry Rise sheet music page.
Legendary singer Elza Soares will likely be representing Rio’s most popular musial genre, samba, while Karol Conka and MC Soffia will probably be the voice of Brazil’s gangster rap scene, whose messages of empowerment are going to echo well after dark walls in the stadium.

“It was Caetano’s idea to get Anitta, he considers her a terrific singer. We were really astounded by her, she’s an amazing technique and her delivery is beautiful,” Meirelles said.
World famous supermodel Gisele Bündchen may also be making a look and feel, through which she will catwalk facing her biggest audience ever. Brazilian model Lea T, who’s appeared in lots of campaigns additionally, on the cover of numerous magazines, will probably be the first transgender person to obtain a major role with an Olympic opening ceremony – even though exact information her participation remains unknown. “The message are going to be clear: inclusion.
