Simon Cowell is reportedly “desperate” to adopt charge of the Spice Girls comeback album.
The girl band will celebrate 19 years since the discharge of their debut single Wannabe later in 2010, and rumours happen to be rife which the group are organizing a reunion for your occasion.
Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, stepped in as being a judge on U.K. talent show The X Factor yesterday to pay for Nicole Scherzinger, and is particularly said to are already bombarded by Cowell, who said not signing the group will be the “biggest mistake” of his life. The music mogul is reportedly determined to land the girls’ reported comeback album, and as outlined by editors at The Sun, even developed a “formal offer” to Mel B.
“Simon is eager to make a new Spice Girls album. He doesn’t would like to miss out following the first time around,” a resource told Britain’s The Sun newspaper.
“He spent the auditions a week ago quizzing Mel concerning the band and said however do ‘something mega’ should they signed with him. He kept asking when they were going to be producing songs and said if you do, he wishes to do it using them.”
According on the publication, Simon told Mel that this girls must talk to him first before choosing any other record labels. But Mel reportedly kept her cards near her chest.
“He even went so far as warning Mel that they’d better not speak to any other labels before choosing him,” the origin added. “Mel deliberately kept coy and told him they ‘hadn’t finalised everything’, but he wouldn’t let it rest alone.”
Mel previously revealed that this Spice Girls once staged an impromptu audition for Simon if they were looking to get signed. As they hadn’t scheduled a conference they simply resorted to ambushing him having a spontaneous performance inside a parking lot.
Mel told U.S. chat show host Jimmy Fallon latest research by: “He was appearing out of work, and now we kind of hijacked the vehicle park which he was hoping to get his car outside of and just sung for him. And we were like, ‘Look, we’re likely to be famous some day. Can you sign us?’ and the man went, ‘No, it is not gonna work.'”
