Charlie Puth has apologised after slamming Justin Bieber in a very foul-mouthed outburst during his concert in Dallas, Texas, on Friday.
Now, the See You Again hitmaker has attempted to make amends by posting a long apology message on Twitter.com. However, he later deleted the tweets.
“I am a huge @JustinBieber fan and I do not have anything but wonderful landmarks to say about him and his awesome music always,” Charlie reportedly wrote within a series of messages on Saturday. “Please still find it in your heart to forgive me and are aware that this is originating from a real place. I am not a typical person.
“I am very sorry if I offended anyone, and mostly to Justin. His efforts are inspiring. I would never intentionally or publicly bash him. I was bullied where things such as this were asked me on a regular basis, basically all of playing until the end of senior high school.”
HollywoodLife.com also report that One Call Away singer wrote a lengthier apology which he posted at a later date the social media marketing site, which read: “Hi everyone. I wanted to get rid of something up. I tweeted this early this morning, but I thought it might be much more effective if I wrote this a single cohesive note rather than a number of tweets.
“What I said on the concert about Justin last week was supposed to be lighthearted, and sounded so in my mind in the time, fat hearing it now it sounded mean and uncalled for, who’s was.
“My goal in your life as a person so when an artists should be to never exchange hateful vernacular between other artists, or anyone for example. The thematic and lyrical element that is based on the song I wrote entitled ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ hits not far from home in my opinion and I let my emotions obtain the best of me the other day mid song.
“I hope his fans can accept my apology and know that people they make mistakes and that I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t make any. I deeply apologize for my words.”
Both apologies have been deleted, no mention of the outburst is featured on his Twitter feed. Charlie, who performed See You Again on the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday with Wiz Khalifa, later thanked his fans after he won the Favourite Collaboration honour for that song.
“WOW! Thank you Kid’s Choice. What an honor! Thank you,” he wrote. “It’s crazy that I spent my youth watching The Kids Choice Awards eating pizza on my small couch now I just played into it with Wiz.”
